What is Panchakarma Treatment?

Panchakarma is a treatment for the purification and rejuvenation of body, mind and consciousness. It is based on the principles of Ayurveda that each person is a phenomenon embodied by the five elements ether, air, fire, water and earth.

The combination of these elements are three energies (tridosha): Vata, Pitta and Kapha, the balance of which is different for each person. When this energy balance is disturbed, illness occurs, which in turn leads to illness.

Panchakarma is made individually according to each person’s build and particular situation, so care and attention must be paid. The treatment begins with thepre- purification measures of Snehan and Svedana and then continues with the purification method – Shodhanas. The basic care process allows the patient to return their body to a healthy state and eliminate skin symptoms.
